Honey Glazed Carrots (Printable)

Tender carrots coated in sweet honey butter glaze with caramelized edges. Ready in 25 minutes.

# What you'll need:

→ Vegetables

01 - 1 lb carrots, peeled and sliced into sticks or rounds

→ Glaze

02 - 2 tbsp unsalted butter
03 - 2 tbsp honey
04 - 1 tbsp brown sugar
05 - 1/2 tsp salt
06 - 1/4 tsp black pepper

→ Garnish

07 - 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

# How to make it:

01 - Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the carrots and cook for 5–7 minutes until just tender. Drain well.
02 - In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Stir in honey, brown sugar (if using), salt, and black pepper until combined.
03 - Add the drained carrots to the skillet. Toss to coat and cook for another 5–7 minutes, stirring frequently, until carrots are glossy and caramelized.
04 - Transfer to a serving dish. Sprinkle with fresh parsley if desired. Serve warm.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • The glaze transforms ordinary carrots into something that tastes like it came from a restaurant kitchen
  • Ready in under 30 minutes but impressive enough for holiday tables
  • Even people who swear they hate vegetables will ask for seconds
02 -
  • Drain the carrots well after boiling or water will prevent proper glazing
  • Keep the heat at medium so the honey does not burn and turn bitter
  • Stir frequently during the glazing stage for even caramelization
03 -
  • Use a light-colored pan so you can see when the glaze starts to caramelize
  • If the glaze gets too thick, add a splash of water to loosen it up
